Peace Lab

The Peace Lab is an innovative initiative designed as a strategic engine for Burma’s next generation of visionary leaders. Moving beyond traditional, reactive models, the Lab focuses on actively designing the future. The project will transform the lived experiences of marginalized youth into the sophisticated expertise required to dismantle structures of exclusion, forge inter-ethnic unity, and foster deep-rooted peace. By laying the essential groundwork for an inclusive, federal democracy, our mission is to fundamentally reshape national-level policies toward minorities, including the Rohingya, ensuring that Burma’s future is built on a bedrock of equality and dignity.

Fellowship

Moving beyond traditional, reactive training models, The Peace Lab serves as a strategic participatory platform for Burma’s next generation of visionary leaders. This flagship five-month virtual fellowship is designed to transform the lived experiences of marginalized youth into sophisticated expertise. The program provides a holistic ecosystem of leadership enhancement, equipping fellows with the technical resources, strategic networks, and collaborative spaces necessary to dismantle structures of exclusion, forge inter-ethnic unity, and directly influence national policy-making.

Dialogue

The Peace Lab is coordinating monthly dialogues that will focus on the topic of promoting the principles of human rights, inclusive democracy, and justice in Burma. We identify diverse leaders and experts in Myanmar and invite three to four panelists involved in the broader pro-democracy movement to discuss aspects relevant to such a process in Burma.

Further information on the dialogues will be released in August 2026.

research

The Peace Lab will produce research materials and publications on issues related to Burma’s ongoing crisis and its federal democratic future. Its coverage will also include issues underrepresented by Burmese civil society, such as the situation of ethnic minority women, including of the Rohingya in Arakan (Rakhine) State.
